1. I didn't really have expectations in August-I'd never written on a blog before.
2. I think the best thing is learning from peers because they provide very insightful comments. The worst thing is being unable to post if there are computer problems.
3. My favorite post was probably the first one we commented on because it was my first blog post ever.
4. More posts that have movies. Those are the best and most interesting. I learn better that way.
5. The blog was good.

1. I had no idea that we would use the blog as often as we did. It turned out to be a vital part of our class.
2. The best thing about having a blog is getting a chance to share and read everyone's opinions. I really learned a lot from and about everyone. The worst part was all the time it took.
3. I am really not too sure about this one. They were all pretty informative.
4. I would not make the blogs so long and have so many links in them. It is very time consuming and unrealistic. Also, I would add the powerpoint or lecture notes to the blog.
5. Thanks for a great year!

1. In August I expected that the class bog would be a place for discussion. I thought that there would be more discussing instead of each person just responding to a posed question. However, I would say that my expectations were met.
2. The best thing about a class blog would be that people outside of the class can respond and pose questions for us to answer and ponder over. The worst thing about having a class blog is that there is sometimes so much information presented and we never discuss the blog and responses.
3. My favorite post was the (Re)Framing the Story: Africa and the Age of Exploration. I liked this post because we were able to ask questions to Professor Northrup; it was interesting that he even responded to the blog posts.
4. I think that the blog should be more discussion based because the questions that are posed are sometimes not even discussed.
5. I think that it would have been helpful if you would have put the slideshows that correlated with the lessons on the blogs. All in all I really liked having the blog.

1. Only the highest

2. The best thing: Mr. Carson. The worst thing: being unjustly sent to the library.

3. Mr. Carson's reading list and Mr. Sinitiere's crash course in W.E.B. DuBois

4. Add more guest bloggers, include additional podcasts.

5. Peace, and thank you.

1. i didnt have expectations. i didnt think there would be so much interaction and feedback necessary from us however.
2. the best part was the links and the storage of information that was handed to us on the posts. they greatly helped me study and do homework online. the worst part was the grading of our responses. i dont think there should have been as much mandatory feedback; it got annoying.
3. my favorite post was the one on wwii with links to videos and propaganda.
4. there should be more posts with fun interactive links not mandatory reading sections. i thought they were too much and i could not distinguish between what we had to read for the grade and what was extraneous information that we could read for more insight. there should be more clear directions and questions not just "leave your feedback" or "add your comments below"
5. ive enjoyed having you for four years!!!

1. Having never had a blog as part of a class, I was unsure of how we would incorporate into class as we do not use personal computers at school. I thought it would turn into more of an assignment board. But it turned out to be a very important aspect of our class. So, I'm pretty sure you could say my expectations were exceeded.

2. Best thing about the blog: being able to see what others wrotre and having the oppurtunity to interact with other experts in the field (i.e. Northrupp, Carson, Barber). Worst: Unreliability of computers/ internet access.

3. My favorite posts were the ones that had guest bloggers. We get the oppurtunity to hear your opinions each day and class which makes it interesting to hear what other teachers and historians have to say about a certain topic.

4. As Meagan said, I would want more discussion on the blog where we talk about what others have written. Or maybe the students would each have to make their own blog post every once and a while as part of a project or alternate learning/teaching method.

5. Thank you so much for another outstanding year!!

These comments will help me as I too consider creating a class blog here at HCHS. I have enjoyed reading your thoughts.
